Tailored to your wild side

Challenge: The well-known car manufacturer is planning to launch its new model: the Hyundai i30 Fastback N – half sports car, half everyday saloon car. But there really is nothing new to the car and the competition already has similar models on the roads. So how do we still get people talking about it?

Our solution: By translating the two characteristics of the Hyundai i30 Fastback N – sporty and serious – into a reversible jacket, we managed to create a desirable symbol for the car. We worked together with Swedish designer Rasmus Wingårdh to design, produce and integrate the jacket into all of the advertising measures. The result: the i30 Fastback N was completely sold out.

The 60-second TV commercial was broadcast internationally. Under the campaign motto ‘Tailored to your wild side’, the jacket plays a central role in the advertisement.

Stylish image: Thanks to the reversible jacket, the i30 Fastback N was associated with fashion, thus opening itself up to a new target group.
